New FDA regulations on nutrition labeling

On May 20, 2016, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued some amendments to the nutrition labeling of packaged foods. All food manufacturers and other companies, including convenience stores and health clubs that pack food on site, and grocery stores that provide preparation and packaging for food sold in convenience stores, must be on January 1, 2020 (annual food sales of 10 million U.S. dollar or more manufacturers) or January 1, 2021 (manufacturers with annual food sales of less than 10 million U.S. dollars) to meet this requirement.

After decades, the nutrition label will introduce a new look to reflect new scientific discoveries in the field of nutrition and health. The new label confirms the link between diet and chronic diseases, such as obesity and heart disease, and provides additional information to help consumers make informed decisions about the foods they eat.

At E-Label, we have conducted an in-depth and thorough study of the new FDA regulations, and compiled a simplified version of the guide, pointing out the key changes that will have an important impact on you. EU nutrition label compliance

Major changes in food labeling regulations

The "European Consumer Food Information Regulations" that came into effect in 2011 will become mandatory requirements in December 2016. It represents the first major revision of European food labeling regulations in 30 years and requires food companies to redesign the format and content of their food labels. The regulation requires companies to modify the labels of allergen ingredients within 2014. In 2016, it will be mandatory to provide nutritional information.

At E-label, we have conducted an in-depth and thorough study of the regulation and compiled a simplified version of the guide, pointing out the key changes that will have a significant impact on you.
